- So, biometric devices will be used for additional identity verification, i.e., authentication of each voter through fingerprint scanning. In this way, it is no longer possible to vote for another person and for deceased persons or on behalf of another person with a different personal document. Besides this, thanks to this device, during the day statistics not only about turnout but also about the gender and age structure of voters - she said.

Ballot boxes will be connected to scanners. Voters will take four ballots (three in Brčko, note), and insert them into a ballot box that is connected to a scanner device and electronic counting of each vote follows. All this data is electronically transferred to the CIK.

- Thanks to this, for the first time we expect that a few hours after the polling stations close, the public will have access to results at all levels of government - said Hadžiabdić, emphasizing that the manual counting process has been retained.

The results of manual counting will be recorded in a form, transferred to a specific application, and the CIK will then, after publishing the first preliminary results, publish incomplete results successively.

- All material from the municipal election commission is moved to the main counting center, which will have enormous work, completely new scanning and manual counting, if there is a huge difference in votes - if the differences cannot be explained, if there was no accidental error, the process of manual counting of all ballots is mandatory, and the result of manual counting will prevail in the main center where we have complete control - she said.
