The presidents of Turkey and Germany discussed bilateral relations, Afghanistan, and migration issues on Tuesday, according to an official statement.

In a phone call, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier also discussed regional matters, said Turkey’s Communications Directorate.
Citing Steinmeier's remarks at a panel last Friday, Erdogan welcomed his German counterpart’s praise for the Turkish community in Germany and Turkey.
In a speech marking the 60th anniversary of the signing of the German-Turkish labor agreement, Steinmeier thanked Turkish immigrants who arrived in Germany in the 1960s for contributing to the country’s economic growth and its transformation into a rich, culturally diverse society.
"The people who came at that time, who were called guest workers: You, your children, your grandchildren are today part of what makes Germany. A Germany without you is simply not imaginable hereafter," said Steinmeier.

Erdogan also hailed Turkey and Germany's coordination and solidarity as NATO allies during last month’s evacuations from Afghanistan, stressing the need to maintain the same approach during the "critical process" Afghanistan is now going through.

Stressing that necessary humanitarian aid must be delivered to Afghanistan by the UN and other groups, the Turkish president said no one wants to see a replay of the migrant flow from Syria in 2015.
Germany and the EU should provide support to neighboring countries that bear the burden of Afghan migration in this regard, he added.
Erdogan stated that some European countries have limited the issue to only border security, underlining that Turkey does not have the capacity to shoulder a new migration burden.
In the call, Erdogan also said his country rightfully expects implementation of 2016 Turkey-EU migration agreement in all respects, stressing that the EU must take steps on matters such as revitalizing Turkey's membership negotiations, updating the Customs Union, and visa liberalization for Turkish citizens.
The migration deal was signed on March 18, 2016, as the Syrian civil war continued to uproot millions who then began their "journey of hope" to reach the EU.
The agreement contained six key points: the reinvigoration of Ankara's EU accession process, modernization of their Customs Union, revival of high-level dialogue, visa liberalization for Turkish nationals, cooperation in managing migration flows, and steps in counter-terrorism.​​​​​​​
Turkey has long complained that while it upheld its end of the deal, the EU did not keep its pledges, including on visa liberalization.

The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office will check the education of Sebija Izetbegović, Director General of KCUS. This information was confirmed for the "Avaz" portal from the SC Prosecutor's Office.
- According to the information received, a case has been formed in which checks are being carried out - Azra Bavčić, spokeswoman for the SC Prosecutor's Office, told the "Avaz" portal.

We learn that the case was formed after the report of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs of Sarajevo Canton (KUIP) but also the writing of the media and the letter from Zagreb that arrived to Rifat Škrijelj, Rector of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA). 
The Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb confirmed a month ago that for the Director General of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), there is no documentation on the basis of which they could confirm the authenticity of the student booklet and issue a certificate of passed exams at this higher education institution.
These data were forwarded to Rifat Škrijelj, Rector of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA). Two months ago, Škrijelj decided to ask the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb for information on the basis of which the authenticity of the student booklet published in the media, in which there was a lot of illogicality, would be confirmed. It is a photocopy of the student booklet issued in Zagreb on March 2nd, 1993.
As these were incomplete data, answers were requested from Zagreb, which arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina institutions in response.
- An inspection of the archives of the Medical Faculty of the University of Zagreb established that Sebija Izetbegović, born on April 6, 1960 in Titograd, Republic of Montenegro, was enrolled in the first year of postgraduate study Ultrasound Clinical Medicine in the academic year 1992/1993 under the student's ID number 4690114. There is no documentation in the students's file on the basis of which we could confirm the authenticity of the student booklet and issue a certificate of passed exams contained in the student booklet - it is stated in the answer of the Dean of the Medical Faculty in Zagreb Marijan Klarica. Two weeks ago, the Directorate for Inspection Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton completed the inspection supervision at the Medical Faculty in Sarajevo.
It was established that Sebija Izetbegović has only a copy of the student booklet as proof of schooling in Zagreb. The KUIP clearly indicated why additional checks were needed regarding her education.

<h2>It is disputable how she enrolled in the college on March 2, 1993</h2>

We would like to remind you that the director of KCUS found herself at the center of a new affair because it is suspicious that she completed 10 postgraduate exams in Zagreb, which were then, according to unconfirmed information, recognized in Sarajevo. It is disputable that she enrolled in the study on March 2nd, 1993, and passed the first exam on March 19th.
The Directorate for Inspection Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton (KUIP) also determined that the masters' degree of Director of KCUS requires additional checks. Two weeks ago, the Directorate for Inspection Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton completed the inspection supervision at the Medical Faculty in Sarajevo.
At the session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, the initiative was adopted for the SC Prosecutor's Office to perform all checks related to the Izetbegović's diploma as soon as possible.

About 1,500 people are accommodated in the reception centers Lipa, Borići and Miral, but the number of users of these centers changes almost every day, confirmed the spokesman of the Una-Sana Canton Police (USC), Adnan Beganović.

- At the centers of Lipa and Borići in the area of ​​Bihać, 1,000 to 1,200 people were taken care of, depending on the day. There are about 500 migrants in Velika Kladuša Miral, but considering their constant movements and numerous attempts to cross the border with the European Union, those numbers change almost every day and it is impossible to have precise data all the time - Beganović told FENA.
According to unofficial data, there are about 1,000 more migrants and refugees outside the official camps, i.e. in public areas, abandoned facilities and private accommodation in the USC.
- Continuously in cooperation with the Service for Foreigners Affairs of B&amp;H, we are working on relocating these people to official centers, or I can freely say, providing dignified living conditions and space for all these people. We will be even more active on this issue immediately after the completion of the migrant settlement at the Lipa site, and we hope that it will be soon. However, I can certainly say that this year we had a smaller influx of migrants and more efficient cooperation with the competent state institutions, which resulted in a more favorable security and humanitarian situation - the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton Nermin Kljajić told FENA.
The completion of the migrant settlement on the site of Lipa and the accommodation of the first users of the services of the newly built center is expected in the foreseeable future, before the worsening weather conditions.
- Most of the works are progressing according to plan, but we also have certain infrastructural problems that have slowed us down. Here, first of all, I mean solving the problem of constant supply of electricity and drinking water. However, I believe that we will eliminate all problems until the weather worsens and soon move in the first users of the services of the new center with an accommodation capacity of 1,500 people - said the director of the Service for Foreigners Affairs of B&amp;H Slobodan Ujić.
It was also emphasized that in all three reception centers, special attention is focused on the health care of cared for people, so that the health and epidemiological situation is at an enviable level.
The first part of the process of voluntary vaccination against COVID-19 was carried out, so 270 people were vaccinated in the temporary tent settlement Lipa alone.

China on Monday called on the US to “stop all official exchanges” with Taiwan amid reports that the US was “seriously considering” to rename Taiwan's office in Washington.

Decisions of the Court of B&amp;H on whether Mehmedagić will be returned to custody was made today. As the "Avaz" portal has learned, the appeal of the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H has been rejected and Osmica will defend from freedom in this case.

State Prosecutor Oleg Čavka said at the end of the last week that according to the data of the B&amp;H Border Police, Osman Mehmedagić and Asim Sarajlić traveled together by plane to Antalya on July 21st. It was pointed out that Sarajlić was not questioned in the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H about the circumstances of committing criminal acts of abuse of office and forgery of official documents.

Israeli prime minister visits Egypt in first official trip for a decade

The Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H announced that it was informed about the arrest of Edin Vranj at the border crossing when entering Serbia from media reports, and that it did not receive any official notification or information from the Serbian authorities.

- The Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H acted on the basis of a report submitted by the competent police authorities, against several persons, which refers to allegations of war crimes committed against Serb victims in the building of the ZOIL in Goražde, 1993 and 1994 - it is stated from that institutions.
They add that in the mentioned case an indictment was filed against several persons and the trial is ongoing, while in relation to the reported Edin Vranj and several other persons, on December 26, 2018, an order was issued not to conduct an investigation. No objection was raised by Vranj.
The Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H urgently forwarded the inquiry to the Prosecutor's Office for War Crimes of Serbia, in which detailed information was requested, and the Order on non-investigation was forwarded, which became final in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was announced.

As it was said in the statement, they regularly follow the contents that are published about the judiciary in the media, and they noticed that inappropriate contents are published more and more often, whether they are texts or illustrations.
Of particular concern, they say, is that inappropriate content is published when judicial institutions need to make decisions in cases, i.e. during the appeal procedure, which can be considered pressure on the work of the judiciary.
They find it worrying that some members of the legislature are threatening the heads of judicial institutions to deny them funding for the institution and thus prevent them from working if their demands related to work in certain cases are not met.

In the last five days, we have witnessed a real political thriller, with twists that even the famous inspector Hercule Poirot would not have thought of. We saw the finish of that turbulent rearrangement today in Belgrade.
Agency news says that the new High Representative in B&amp;H, Christian Schmidt, met with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. In a separate meeting, Schmidt also talked with Serbian Patriarch Porfirije.
The message for the deluded son of Milorad Dodik could not be clearer. Serbia's political and religious leaders practically recognize Schmidt and his function, which only further illuminates the picture in which Dodik is in a difficult political offside.

There is no doubt that the leader of the SNSD and a member of the Presidency of B&amp;H will have to extract the hot chestnuts himself, which he set on fire by repeatedly belittling and not recognizing the new High Representative.

The scanty information in the Belgrade media says that Dodik's meeting with Schmidt is already being prepared behind the scenes. Whatever the format of the meeting, it will mean Dodik's bending the tail and recognition of the real situation, that is, Schmidt as the High Representative in B&amp;H.
That something was going on behind the scenes was clear last weekend, when details of an international conference arrived from Germany, at which Christian Schmidt, President of the German Bundestag Wolfgang Schaeuble and Chairman of the Presidency of B&amp;H Željko Komšić spoke.
After speaking openly about the election of a Croat member of the collective head of state and the fact that Komšić is the representative of the Croat people in the Presidency, but that he was predominantly elected by Bosniaks, coordinated media and political barrage fire from circles close to the ruling Bosniak structures and Komšić himself turned towards Schmidt.

Suddenly Schmidt, is no longer so pro-Bosnian, and Germany and Chancellor Merkel ("we knew") still work with their brothers by faith, the Croats.
Komšić, confused by the turn that only surprised him, found himself in an unusual position. From a player who was supposed to be part of the solution, in 24 hours he turned into someone who radicalizes the political scene and disproportionately strikes at friends of B&amp;H from Berlin, and sends himself from the political field to the fan stands.
Moreover, the leader of the DF came to the paradoxical situation of turning against Schmidt, and at the same time Schmidt began to be publicly praised by the notorious Milorad Dodik.
The cherry on top of the cake came in the form of an announcement that Angela Merkel will have her last diplomatic tour in the role of chancellor in the Western Balkans.

<h2>The Bosniak position of the weeping Calimero</h2>

Merkel's arrival first in Belgrade with Vučić, and then in Tirana with Edi Rama, in addition to signaling where the key centers for resolving the Balkan Gordian knot are, portrays even more strongly the self-isolating position of B&amp;H and the Bosniak political factor in the Western Balkans.

Unfortunately, for decades, this factor has spent and is spending its power and strength more on dealing with secular opposition votes, rather than meaningfully working on gaining new and keeping old friends in the region, Europe and the world.

We are watching the end result of such a failed Bosniak ostrich policy live these days. Our traditional allies from Germany and personally Chancellor Angela Merkel today obviously understand better what Serb and Croat politicians and statesmen are saying than they are willing to continue to listen to self-proclaimed Bosniak and pro-Bosnian spokesmen who, after thirty years in power, have turned into replicas of the sad mourner Calimero from the famous cartoon.

- The live events got cancelled but then i started the virtual concerts in Amsterdam, Antalya, Dubai, Banja Luka, etc. I had more time for the productions, so I produced remixes, new songs and arrangements. I had instagram live with Alica Keys and we started a new song.

Has the pandemic affected your creativity?
- Not at all, even it made my works more creative. As mentioned above during pandemic apart of live events, we worked harder to keep the music on. I definitely missed the live events but now we are back in some countries and by the end of this year, we have around 80 live events confirmed in various countries.

How did it feel when you first got on stage after the break?
- I’m very happy to keep going from the point that i stopped due to pandemic. We started to make some daily plans for some countries now. It’s not like last months or last year. Day by day the booking requests come. In this subject, we can fight against the situation with PCR tests, Vaccine certifications. It’s really very strange period but the music must not stop. As the world turns, the music continues playing.

What are your plans for the future?
- At the moment, I release singles. The last songs that I published were Bring It Back and Last Night, they did pretty well on portals. Also I released my official music video “Oh My My” with Montiego and it hit over 5 millions on Youtube in 3 days. We shot this video in Medellin, Colombia.&nbsp;I believe that the songs are lifeless. I plan to re-touch songs like "Tuesday", "Happy", "My Life is Going On" and release new versions.

- After Bosnia and Herzegovina, I perform in Dubai, Mexico, Istanbul, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Mykonos. I will announce other dates soon - says Yeter.

The Russian president and the head of the European Council on Wednesday discussed the evolving situation in Afghanistan, agreeing to cooperate on regional stability, a Kremlin statement said.

In a phone call, Vladimir Putin and Charles Michel also expressed readiness to prevent the risks of the spread of terrorism, extremism, and drug crime, the statement added.
-Both sides stressed the importance of maintaining civil peace in the country and preventing violence, as well as establishing a real intra-Afghan dialogue to ensure the integrity of the Afghan state, taking into account the interests of all population groups- it read.
Discussing the Ukrainian settlement, Putin and Michel agreed on the necessity of the Minsk Agreement’s implementation, the statement noted.
Putin also informed Michel about the steps being taken to fulfill the trilateral cease-fire agreement among Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, it said.
In a separate statement, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow is closely following the developments in Afghanistan and currently does not plan contacts with the interim government established by the Taliban.
The Taliban seized control of Afghanistan after taking the control of Kabul on Aug. 15, forcing the president and other top officials to leave the country.
On Tuesday, the Taliban announced an interim government, which includes only its own members, claiming the current Cabinet is temporary.

Russia, European Council agree to cooperate on Afghanistan

Almost six years after the 2015 terror attacks in Paris, France on Wednesday started the trial of 20 people accused in the case.

The attacks rolled out in a single night of terror across Paris and at the Stade de France in the northern suburb of Saint-Denis where three suicide bombers struck outside while a football match was taking place.
Subsequent attacks hit various cafes around Paris, and a third group of attackers carried out a mass shooting and held people hostage during a rock concert at the Bataclan Theater.
The carnage claimed the lives of 130 and left 350 people injured. The Daesh/ISIS terror group claimed responsibility for it.
The trials are being held in a specially built court housed in the Palais de Justice, France’s central courthouse. Preparations have been underway for two years for the largest trial to ever take place in Paris.
Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said Wednesday in an interview with French news outlet France Inter that the “terrorist threat” is “even higher during this period.”
He also discussed both the government’s role and responsibility in thwarting attacks.
-Objectively, I believe that the trial will be an opportunity to tell the truth and also to shed light on the responsibilities of the French state.-He detailed that since the start of President Emmanuel Macron’s five-year term in office, a total of 36 major attacks have been halted by French intelligence services.
He went on to acknowledge that there are dysfunctions in information gathering that have taken place, and are still evolving.
-We have made a lot of progress- Darmanin said.
Of the 20 people charged over the Nov. 13 attacks, six will be tried in absentia. Twelve of them face life in prison.
Among the defendants is Salah Abdeslam, the only surviving attacker.
More than 300 witnesses will offer testimony over the next nine months. The case file contains over a million pages of documents.
To stem any further threats or violence from taking place, 1,000 police officers have been deployed around the courthouse in what Darmanin has called an “absolutely gigantic effort.” The entire trial will be recorded by eight cameras specially installed in a control room.
A verdict in the case is expected next May.

A conflict between Greece and Turkey is not inevitable, said the US envoy to Athens on Tuesday.

Speaking at an online panel, titled Changing Tides: Great Power Competition In the Eastern Mediterranean, hosted by the Center for European Policy Analysis on Tuesday, Geoffrey Pyatt made remarks on relations between Turkey and Greece, the Eastern Mediterranean, and other regional developments.
Noting that Greece is an important American ally in the Eastern Mediterranean, he drew attention to the recently improving relations between Greece and other countries in the region, including the UAE, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt.
Pyratt also reiterated Washington’s support for the 3+1 cooperation framework between Greece, Southern Cyprus, Israel, and the US.
Highlighting the importance of regional energy cooperation, he said: “One of the greatest examples of regional energy cooperation anywhere in Europe is the Southern Gas Corridor, which relies on the relationship between the TAP (Trans Adriatic) pipeline and Turkey every single day.
-This is an area that offers the prospect of building new channels for cooperation and for win/win. I do not accept the principle that conflict between Greece and Turkey is inevitable, and it’s certainly not in the interest of the United States.- Pyratt added.
