The vice-president of the Alliance for a Better Future of B&amp;H, Admir Čavka, said that the information that only 28 students enrolled in the first grade of primary school in Srebrenica passed completely unnoticed.
- This news is a real defeat for all of us who are fighting to survive in the area of smaller B&amp;H entity, ie all of us who live at home and whose children go to school in the area of smaller B&amp;H entity - said Čavka.
He added that this year will be a record low number of children enrolled in the first grades of primary school in RS. Čavka points out that dozens of schools in smaller Bosnia and Herzegovina entity will be closed this year.

- The number of students enrolled in the first grade of primary school will probably be below nine thousand. This is a statistical error. This is the best indicator of the current situation in the entire area of smaller Bosnia and Herzegovina entity. Because of this, we are presented with various non-peppers every day, which serve exclusively to divert attention from essential topics - said Čavka.
Čavka adds that the returnee population is living harder and harder. According to Čavka, systemic discrimination, wrong policy from Sarajevo, lack of support for sustainable return are main reasons for this. All this led to the fact that a huge number of returnees left their homes again after their return and found happiness far from B&amp;H.
- The average age of Bosniaks in RS is over 60 years. We must ask ourselves what kind of future awaits us in the coming years. All this is well known to all of us who live at home, in the area of smaller Bosnia and Herzegovina entity. Every trip to a third country of our fellow citizens is well felt, as well as their deaths - said Čavka.

Čavka is convinced that there are forces among returnees that can change the current catastrophic situation, but the approach to solving this problem must change. SBB, led by party president Fahrudin Radončić, each time supported a gathering of pro-Bosnian forces in the smaller B&amp;H entity without any conditions, only for the purpose of survival in the RS.
- However, the fact is that the coalitions served only for pre-election purposes, in order to grab positions after the elections. Due to such political exhibitions, we have 28 children enrolled in the first grade of primary school. We need unity built on patriotic principles that will implement everything that is agreed in advance. Therefore, it is very positive that they are working on gathering a patriotic bloc of people living in the area of smaller Bosnia and Herzegovina entity - said Čavka.
One such meeting, he added, will be held in Doboj on Monday. Čavka points out that it is more than positive that the SDP is working on the gathering.
- Returnees whose children go to school and are discriminated against on a daily basis must turn to themselves. We have too many enemies to be our own enemies. Therefore, it is more than necessary for us to unite and solve the accumulated problems together. We must not be on a bus rushing towards a certain accident. And while the bus is going to a certain doom, we are arguing over who will sit where - pointed out Čavka.

One child died and four adults were injured early on Sunday after two houses collapsed in a suspected gas explosion in northwest England, police said.

Police in the county of Lancashire said they were called to the row of terraced houses at 2:40am (0140 GMT) where they evacuated other residents and set up a safety cordon.
-We remain at scene of a suspected gas explosion on Mallowdale Ave Heysham which has caused 2 houses to collapse &amp; badly damaged another- the Lancashire force said on Twitter.
-Sadly, we can now confirm a young child has died &amp; 4 other people have been injured, 2 seriously. Our thoughts are with all those affected.-The Lancashire fire department said on Twitter that a major incident had been declared over a suspected gas explosion and firefighters were in the process of searching the collapsed properties.
Local resident Dan Knowles said the sound of the explosion could be heard from his house four streets away.
-My wife and I thought there was an earthquake which woke us, the whole house shook- he said.
-We immediately checked on our kids and got back in bed. We then heard sirens- he added, adding that his family had shut their gas off when they learnt the likely cause of the explosion.
The area's member of parliament David Morris said his "thoughts and prayers" were with local residents. "Thank you to all of the emergency services who are currently on the scene," he added.

Greece formally opened to visitors on Saturday, kicking off a summer season it hopes will resurrect its vital tourism industry battered by the coronavirus pandemic.

After months of lockdown restrictions, Greece also opened its museums and famed archaeological sites, including the ancient Acropolis, this week.
-I feel really alive and good because it has been such a hard and long year because of COVID- said Victoria Sanchez, a 22-year-old student on holiday from the Czech Republic.

As of Saturday, foreign tourists will be allowed in Greece if they have been vaccinated or can show negative COVID-19 test results. Travel between regions, including to the islands, will also be allowed for those with negative tests or vaccinations.
-I'm finally here- said Rebecca, a tourist in Athens from Florida, who declined to give her last name. -I've been waiting two years - two years with the COVID.-Greece has been rolling out vaccines to its islands and hopes to vaccinate most of them by the end of June. The government says vaccines and rapid testing, as well as warmer weather allowing outdoor activities mean visitors can travel safely.
As the pandemic brought international travel to a halt in 2020, Greece suffered its worst year for tourism on record, with 7 million visitors compared with a record 33 million in 2019. Tourist revenues tumbled to 4 billion euros ($4.9 billion) from 18 billion euros.

The American Ambassador to B&amp;H, Eric Nelson, together with the delegations of the Ministry of Defense of B&amp;H and the Armed Forces of B&amp;H, welcomed the soldiers of the US Army at the Sarajevo International Airport, who arrived on the occasion of the exercise "Immediate Response 2021".
On that occasion, he said, among other things, that the United States is grateful for the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this exercise.

- This is the largest military exercise so far between the US Army and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The United States continues to support peace and stability in B&amp;H. The Russian and US heads of diplomatic services during a phone talk on Wednesday agreed to meet on the sidelines of the Arctic Council summit to be held in Iceland's capital Reykjavik on May 20.

Sergey Lavrov and Antony Blinken plan to discuss the North Korean nuclear problem, the resumption of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian Nuclear Program, and the issues of strategic stability, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
They also discussed the schedule of the upcoming bilateral contacts, the ministry said.
US State Department also confirmed the phone call and planned meeting next week.

Italy's anti-trust authority said Thursday it had fined Google more than 100 million euros ($120 million) for shutting out a rival's smartphone app offering recharging of electric vehicles.

Google's Android operating system and Google Play app store dominate the Italian market, and the authority said the firm abused its market position by blocking an Enel X app for users of electric vehicles.
The regulator added that it would require Google to make Enel X's app available on Android Auto, which mirrors features of an Android device, such as a smartphone, on a car dashboard screen.
-We respectfully disagree with the authority’s decision and we will review our options- a Google spokesman said in a statement.
He added that some apps are not supported on the Android Auto platform "based on driver-distraction tests and regulatory and industry standards".
The fine of more than 100 million euros is for a violation of article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, which regulates monopolies and issues involving restriction of competition.
Italy found Google did not allow Enel X Italia to develop an Android Auto-compatible version of its JuicePass app. 
JuicePass offers services relating to recharging electric vehicles, such as finding the nearest charging station and reserving a space there. 
-By refusing Enel X Italia interoperability with Android Auto, Google has unfairly limited the possibilities for end users to avail themselves of the Enel X Italia app when driving and recharging an electric vehicle- the authority stated.
-Google has consequently favoured its own Google Maps app- added the authority.
-The exclusion of the Enel X Italia app from Android Auto has been going on for more than two years, and if it were to continue, could permanently jeopardise Enel X Italia's chances of building a solid user base at a time of significant growth in sales of electric vehicles.-This, the body concluded, amounted to "an impoverishment of consumer choice and an obstacle to technological progress", which could influence the development of electric mobility.
As a result, the authority said it had ordered Google to make available to Enel X Italia and other app developers programming tools which are interoperable with Android Auto, while adding that it would monitor compliance of its ruling via an independent expert with whom Google would be obliged to cooperate.

A Belarusian court jailed a drummer for six years on Thursday after his band played at mass protests in the wake of disputed presidential elections last year, a rights group said.

Belarus was for months gripped by weekly demonstrations demanding the resignation of strongman Alexander Lukashenko, who claimed a landslide victory in the August vote that his opponents said was rigged.
The 66-year-old has ruled Belarus with an iron fist for over two decades and moved quickly to stamp out protests following the vote.
Alexei Sanchuk, 30, was arrested in the capital Minsk in November, along with several other members of a marching percussion band that were often seen at protests.
They were sentenced to 15 days in jail for taking part in unauthorised protests, but Sanchuk was held following the sentence and slapped with several criminal charges.
On Thursday, a court in Minsk found him guilty of organising and participating in protests and sentenced him to six years in a penal colony, the Viasna rights group said.
He was accused of blocking traffic, waving a red-and-white flag -- a symbol of the Belarus protest movement -- and encouraging protesters to clap their hands, among other acts that allegedly breached public order.
Viasna said the musician was reported to have been beaten after his arrest and was forced to appear in a video confession that was shown on state-run television. 
Sanchuk has a wife and an eight-year-old daughter. 
While the historic protests that left at least four people dead have by now subsided, journalists and activists continue receiving prison terms in the aftermath.

The presidential plane used by Romania's former communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu is to go under the hammer later this month, the Artmark auction house announced on Wednesday.

-The Rombac Super One-Eleven plane, seen by Nicolae Ceausescu as a crowning achievement of Romanian industry, will have a starting price of 25,000 euros- Artmark said ahead of the May 27 sale.
Ceausescu used the plane between 1986 and December 1989, including on his last trip abroad to Iran.
That visit came shortly before the revolution which overthrew him and ended in his execution on Christmas Day 1989.
Since then the plane has been in a hangar belonging to the Romavia state aviation company, which went bankrupt in 2014 and whose assets are being sold.
The plane was made under licence from the British Aircraft Corporation under a deal worth 300 million pounds, signed in 1978 during Ceausescu's state visit to the UK, the first of its kind for a communist leader.
The dictator was feted with a ride in a gilded carriage to Buckingham Palace alongside Queen Elizabeth II and a state banquet held in his honour.
The first Rombac plane took to the skies in 1982, but only nine were built before Romania abandoned the project in 1990.

A Russian court on Wednesday sentenced popular opposition politician Yevgeny Roizman to nine days in jail for urging people to join demonstrations in support of jailed Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny.

The sentence follows a wave of court rulings that have sidelined or sent into exile allies of Navalny, who was jailed by authorities in February for more than two years on old embezzlement charges he says are politically motivated.
Roizman, 58, was mayor of Russia's fourth-largest city Yekaterinburg between 2013 and 2018 and frequently participates in rallies organised by the opposition, including Navalny.
Roizman said on Twitter that he was accused of organising protests on January 31 and April 21 through posts on his Twitter account that has close to 500,000 followers.
A court in Yekaterinburg found him guilty and sentenced Roizman to nine days in jail on both charges, the state-run TASS news agency reported.
The jail terms will be served simultaneously, so the politician will spend a total of nine days behind bars.
Roizman pleaded not guilty to both offences.
Earlier in March, he was fined 20,000 rubles (around $270) for taking part in rallies in January.
The winter marches were held in cities across Russia after Navalny, 44, returned to Moscow from Germany, where he was recovering from nerve agent poisoning.

Navalny was taken into custody for allegedly breaching parole terms and in February sentenced to two-and-a-half years in a penal colony.

He announced a hunger strike in late March, demanding proper medical treatment for pain in his back and numbness in his legs, sparking fresh nationwide rallies on April 21.
He ended his hunger strike after 24 days.
The rallies were met with a harsh response from authorities, with participants receiving fines and short jail terms and some facing several years in prison. 
Russia has also ramped up pressure on domestic and foreign social networks, accusing them of refusing to delete opposition content.
On Wednesday, popular encrypted messenger Telegram was slapped with a fine of five million rubles ($67,000) for not removing calls "inciting minors" to join protests, Russian news agencies reported. 
Moscow has repeatedly fined foreign internet companies, including Facebook, Google and Twitter, for failing to comply with Russian legislation.
Last month, Russia also throttled Twitter's services in the country, saying the platform did not remove illegal content on its request.

Investigators from the Institute for Missing Persons (INO) of B&amp;H, together with other members of the exhumation team and under the leadership of the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H, will carry out exhumations today at three locations in B&amp;H.

The INO B&amp;H spokeswoman Emza Fazlić told FENA that the exhumations were underway for three days at the Malešići site in the Ilijaš municipality, where at least three victims from the past war were being searched for.
-In this case, we are searching for the remains of three members of a Bosniak family, who, according to the information we have, were killed in 1992 and buried at that location. Since a larger area is being excavated at that site, the search for the remains will most likely take a few days- said Fazlić, adding that only some pieces of clothes have been found so far.
At the same time, an exhumation is underway at a site in the Modriča municipality, which, according to the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, should hold a body of a victim from the last war, most likely a Bosniak who was killed in 1992.
The exhumation will also begin at the Popovo Osoje site, which is located in the Zavidovići municipality.
Fazlić says that mortal remains were noticed at this site earlier, presumed to belong to the victim of Serb nationality who died at that site in 1995.
All exhumations are carried out by order of the Court of B&amp;H and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H.

Deep underground in eastern France, a four-legged bundle of energy named Scar steps gingerly through vast caverns, loaded with sensors for taking measures in places where humans might fear to tread.

It's an ideal training ground for Scar, a robotic "dog" being groomed by researchers at the Ecole des Mines engineering school in Nancy.
Its name is a French acronym for "Advanced Robotic Assistance System", and the Ecole des Mines was the first in France to purchase the Spot robot from the US firm Boston Dynamics last September.
On Tuesday, a team from the university tested out Scar's abilities at the Cigeo lab 500 metres (1,600 feet) below the village of Bure, slated to become a permanent home for thousands of tonnes of toxic waste from France's nuclear power plants.
At times the black-and-yellow robot was guided by remote control, but at times it could navigate on its own, opening up the possibility for researchers to programme autonomous tasks.
Scar can also enter and inspect areas that are hard to reach or could expose humans to radiation risks.
-We're now interested in developing artificial intelligence so it could be deployed for surveillance of deep geological storage- said Guillaume Hermand, an engineer with France's ANDRA nuclear waste management agency.
-Our underground lab is a unique and exceptional playground- he said.
Students at the university will work on advanced AI applications for Scar that will be tested at the lab.
One possibility is to have it carry out regular data capture surveys of the same room or route, which could give early warning to the lab's operators of minute geological shifts at the site.
It could also be deployed quickly in case of accidents where larger equipment would be impractical.
-We're at the early stages of a shift in how we work and organise tasks with the digital shift in industry- Ecole des Mines director Francois Rousseau said.

The UDBA is still remembered by the people as the fear-police of the regime, more precisely the repressive apparatus through which the regime controlled all spheres of society. This infamous secret police is responsible for numerous terror and killings, especially of Balkan Muslims in Bosnia, SandŽak, Montenegro and Kosovo.

- It is clear to all of us that during the pandemic they had additional extraordinary expenses for the purchase of medicines, and many basic groceries became more expensive. At the same time, there was no minimal increase in pensions this year, so one-time assistance is a good opportunity to help the most vulnerable social category.
It is known that almost all neighboring countries at the time of the coronavirus pandemic helped their retirees in various ways. The one-time financial aid was also announced by the Government of the smaller Bosnia and Herzegovina entity, and therefore we appeal to the Federal Government to show social sensitivity and urgently find a way to help our retirees financially - said SBB in a statement.

Out of 425,390 pensioners, almost 60 percent have the lowest pensions in the amount of 382 KM, which is not enough even for basic necessities
