Diego Maradona, jedan od najboljih nogometaša svijeta, preminuo je jučer od srčanog udara u 61. godini. Prije 20 dana imao je operaciju na mozgu i odlično se oporavljao. Pušten je na kućno liječenje, a onda je jučer doživio srčani udar.

U srijedu ujutro probudio se oko 10 sati, ranije no što je to bilo uobičajeno. Popio je malo, vode, prošetao kućom i vratio se u krevet prileći.

Uz njega su u kući bili medicinski brat Maxi, kućna pomoćnica i dva člana obitelji Maradoninog agenta Matiasa Morije. Dva sata nakon što je legao Maradona nije reagirao na lijekove koje je obično uzimao i pozvana je hitna pomoć. Iako je postupak reanimacije započeo odmah, Maradoni nije bilo spasa. U razmaku od sat vremena u Maradoninoj kući je bilo pet vozila hitne pomoći, ali liječnici su samo mogli proglasiti smrt zbog zatajenja srca.

Holders Bayern Munich are short on defenders for Wednesday's home Champions League match against Red Bull Salzburg with Niklas Suele out and Lucas Hernandez only likely to start on the bench.
